2-26-19... Are You Willing to Put in the Work?

“Our culture has become hooked on the quick-fix, the life hack, efficiency. Everyone is on the hunt for that simple action algorithm that nets maximum profit with the least amount of effort. There’s no denying this attitude may get you some of the trappings of success, if you’re lucky, but it will not lead to a calloused mind or self-mastery. If you want to master the mind and remove your governor, you’ll have to become addicted to hard work. Because passion and obsession, even talent, are only useful tools if you have the work ethic to back them up.”

― David Goggins, Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds

There's something to be said about our culture and lack of dedication to hard work.  There's a great many who are looking for the quick fix, jumping from program to program, chasing the next big thing, but in reality there's no substitute for consistently working hard.  Becoming in love with hard work and the feeling you get from putting in the reps (pun intended) is really the key to success.  Everyone is in love with the idea of reaching their goals, but it is a rare few that actually love the work you have to put in to achieve those goals.  The only way to achieve the results you want is to put in the work, the more work you put in, the more you'll fall in love with the process.  Keep going and find satisfaction in the process, that will lead to your best life.
